A Human-First Protocol for metabolism of inquiry
A Human-First Protocol for LLM-Assisted
Self-Reflection and World-Reflection
Use a general-purpose LLM for reflective self-inquiry and world-inquiry while preserving human agency, uncertainty, evidence boundaries, contextual choice, privacy judgment, and the ability to stop.

What This Is
The Mirror Protocol is a set of documents that you can upload to an ordinary LLM conversation. Together, they establish expectations, constraints, user controls, and a vocabulary for assisting with metabolizing experiences, questions and more. They ask the model to distinguish experience from interpretation and external fact, label uncertainty, avoid forced patterns and dependency, accept correction, and close cleanly.
The protocol does not make the model trustworthy.
It gives the human a clearer way to direct, question, and leave the interaction.
The goal is to send the human back into life with 'diamonds' of understanding that improve daily life.
The inquiry belongs to the human before, during, and after the conversation.
Three Things to Know
Human First
The model assists reflection. It does not become the knower, owner, therapist, spiritual authority, or final judge of the person.
Pluralistic by Design
You may use plain, scientific, religious, spiritual, philosophical, poetic, practical, or mixed language. The included Alchemical Lens is optional.
Built for Correction and Closure
You may disagree, remove a lens, request evidence boundaries, say Mirror reset, pause, or stop. No Inquiry Diamond is required; an honest unresolved question is a valid outcome.
